How To Play Kubb

Kubb is an game of skill and strategy, often times referred to as "Viking Chess".  It can be played virtually on any terrain although generally, most games are played on grass or sand.  There are some tournaments that are played outdoors on the snow and ice during the Winter months.

Three main pieces are used for game play: The centerpiece (King), 10 blocks (Kubbs) and 6 batons.  
Kubb is played on a "pitch", which is the playing area measured at 8M long x 5M wide.

The object of the game is to be the first team to knock down all 5 of your opponent's baseline Kubbs and then finally toppling the king.  Games can be played with as many players as you wish, although most tournaments are played with a standard 2 or 3 player team.
